Walmart has officially announced its holiday 2025 promotional calendar, laying out three major “Deals Events” to anchor its seasonal retail strategy.
The events are:
- Black Friday Event 1: November 14–16 (online and in-store)
- Black Friday Event 2: November 25–30 (online Nov. 25–27, then in-store and online Nov. 28–30)
- Cyber Monday: December 1 (online only)
Walmart+ members receive early access, a strategy Walmart has consistently used to drive subscriber engagement and exclusivity.
These dates reflect a consistent approach from recent years: starting promotions early to elongate the holiday shopping window, minimize peak-period strain, and give consumers more flexible options.
Key categories expected to lead include electronics, toys, home goods, and apparel, along with a strong push for store pickup, delivery, and mobile app use.
Suppliers should note the staggered rollout when planning inventory and promotional support. With economic uncertainty still affecting consumer spending, Walmart is expected to prioritize value messaging and low-price leadership.
The retailer’s approach to holiday 2025 aligns with its broader omnichannel strategy: meeting shoppers wherever they are, with options to buy online, pick up in-store, or access exclusive deals through Walmart+.
