Old Navy has teamed up with DoorDash to offer same‑day delivery from more than 1,000 of its U.S. stores. Customers can now order items like denim, activewear and holiday‑themed pajamas and receive them within hours via the DoorDash platform.
The move underscores the growing emphasis on convenience and immediacy in retail supply‑chain strategies and e‑commerce fulfilment. According to Old Navy’s president and CEO, Haio Barbeito, the brand is focused on “removing friction and adding joy” by meeting customers “on their terms.”
For DoorDash, this partnership builds on its expanding retail footprint—it launched its on‑demand delivery service for retailers in 2023 and has since added major names such as Ulta Beauty, Home Depot and Academy Sports + Outdoors.
From a strategic perspective, Old Navy’s same‑day offering strengthens its omnichannel proposition during a competitive holiday season. The brand, part of Gap Inc., has been the silver lining of the enterprise, gaining market share for eight consecutive quarters.
Being able to serve customers faster aligns with evolving expectations around speed, convenience and seamless connectivity between online and physical retail channels.
