Lina Castaneda on Leading With Purpose in Supply Chain

Tai Software’s Lina Castaneda shares how embracing difference, agility, and continuous learning helped her rise in supply chain leadership.

Lina Castaneda, Chief Customer Officer at Tai Software, has built a dynamic career by embracing change and staying rooted in purpose. Originally from Colombia, her move to Canada marked a turning point, leading her into the supply chain world by what she calls a "happy accident."

With a background in tech and customer service, Castaneda discovered a passion for logistics and quickly rose through the ranks.

A Modern Leadership Journey

Her path includes roles in operations and client success, eventually becoming VP of Operations before stepping into her current role. Across each phase, Castaneda has championed continuous learning, customer focus and agile thinking.

As Chief Customer Officer, she now leads technical support, onboarding and learning & development teams, using data and automation to balance personalization with scalability.

Thriving in Complexity

Castaneda said she believes modernization in customer experience is about being agile and people-centric. She emphasized that technology is essential, but empowering teams, listening to feedback and adapting quickly are what drive true customer success.

Representation and Resilience

As an immigrant woman in a male-dominated field, Castaneda faced her share of challenges but leaned into her differences.

“Our differences are our superpowers,” she said, encouraging authenticity, vulnerability and risk-taking in leadership.

Recognition like her “Rising Star” award highlights not just her achievements, but the importance of representation and mentorship in the industry. Castaneda urged future leaders to stay curious, seek out mentors and take opportunities before they feel fully ready.
